New Initiative: Online Safety for the Apple Ecosystem
Standardizing Digital Safety for the Next Generation
We are proud to announce the official launch of the Online Safety Initiative for the Apple Ecosystem, led by the Academy Provost and supported by our lead Apple Ecosystem Engineers. This initiative is a cornerstone of the Detroit Automation Academy (DAA) curriculum, focusing on empowering youth to navigate the internet responsibly and safely.
Key Program Features:
- Responsible Navigation: Teaching students how to use technology as a tool for growth while avoiding online risks.
- Ecosystem Expertise: Leveraging Apple-specific safety features like Screen Time, Family Sharing, and on-device privacy controls.
- Digital Citizenship: Promoting positive, respectful online engagement.
- Artifact Creation: Future expansion will include creating digital artifacts, fostering creativity and technical skills.
This initiative is now live and will be integrated into the DAA Public Website as a core curriculum offering. We are excited to leverage our ecosystem’s deep technical knowledge to build a safer digital future for our students.
